What did you do after leaving BHS?
Joined the Active US Army Reserves, 11th Special Forces, 1 SFG, 1965, Honorable Discharge 1971, Went to work for Department of Defense as a Visual Information Specialist, GS 11 at Fort Benning, GA. Retired in 1995. Owned two Art Galleries in the mid 70’s named Le Gallerie, Columbus, GA when went through a RIF from the government for a few years. Painted fine art during most of this time and exhibited my art work throughout the southeast. Self employed in the Graphic Field under the company name of Visual Imagery Productions, Columbus, GA, then went to work cooking, a hobby that I enjoyed all my life and then to assistant manager with Western Sizzler. Now working for the Georgia Department of Corrections at Pulaski State Prison, Hawkinsville, GA as Education Department Head and Vocational Instructor - Visual Arts and Communication Design where I instruct female prisoners for reentry into society. I create digital art that can be seen on my web sites. Received many awards for art over the years and created two paintings for Georgia Bi-Centennial in the mid 70’s. Authored cookbook called “the Wing Ding Party Book by Backyard Woody” found on many book sites. Amazon, Barnes and Noble, etc. Also still maintain my credentials as professional chef and active member of the Middle Georgia American Culinary Federation, Inc. Married and divorced three times 1) Evelyn Crowley, 2) Tina Huggins and 3) Cathy Shelly. Created and produced Georgia Devil Dust Seasoning for food.
